Detour For North Bend Road Improvement

As part of the City of Cincinnati’s ongoing investment in the neighborhood of College Hill, the Department of Transportation and Engineering is conducting street improvement work on North Bend Road between Betts Avenue and Hamilton Avenue.

For the initial stage of road replacement, North Bend Road will be closed to westbound traffic between Hamilton Avenue and Pawnee Drive for 30 days beginning Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2012.

Eastbound traffic along this section of North Bend Road will be maintained.

A detour route for westbound North Bend Road traffic will be set up as follows:

1. South on Hamilton Avenue to Llanfair Avenue
2. West on Llanfair Avenue to Belmont Avenue
3. Northwest on Belmont Avenue to North Bend Road.

Once the initial stage of road replacement is completed, the westbound lane will be re-opened, and one lane in each direction will be maintaned on North Bend Road until the end of the project.

Access for emergency vehicles, businesses and residents shall be maintained at all times.

Drivers are encouraged to reduce their speed and use caution when approaching the closure area.
