The City is kicking off a four week concentrated effort to identify and repair the potholes that have developed as a result of the winter freeze/thaw cycles associated with a Cincinnati winter.
This past winter has been an especially harsh one in terms of temperatures and precipitation. As a result, the number and severity of potholes could be proportionately higher as well.
Please help us as we kick off this endeavor by spreading the word on how to identify and report potholes.
Potholes can be reported by three methods:
- Use the free CityHall APP available on iPhone and Android in the APP store. The APP used GPS to locate where you are standing to get an exact location of the pot hole. Add some descriptive details about the location and hit send. Within the APP, you can keep track of your requests and check their completion status.
- Use the online web submission tool at www.5916000.com. There is also a link on the City's homepage to report potholes and other issues. Potholes may be reported 24 hours a day using this submission tool.
- The customer service center (513-591-6000) is also available to receive reports of potholes. Normal business hours are Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The Pothole Blitz will run from Friday, March 7, 2014 to Friday April 4, 2014. Pothole repair is a year-round operation. Following this 4-week blitz, crews will continue routine pothole repair operations.
