This is an exciting time for the Human Resources Department, as we embark on the “Charge for Change” initiative city-wide, we recognize that the City of Cincinnati is the 5th largest employer in the city and is fast becoming the employer of choice for many.

We recognize that our employees are our most important asset, and our employees recognize their responsibility to serve the citizens of Cincinnati to the best of their ability.
In an effort to help our employees with their professional development, we have recently started using our new state-of-the-art training facilities. This new training equipment will allow participants to take part in interactive training exercises that are a cut above the rest, and all city departments will use these facilities as their needs arise.

This department is responsible for implementing human resources functions for the City, including the areas of labor relations, employee relations, training and civil service testing and classification, and employment opportunity administration.
