Salary:  $64,148 - $86,210 annually

This employee will develop, manage and support systems for complex human resource processes.  The Computer Systems Analyst (PeopleSoft Specialist) will be responsible for systems that store, process and report on personnel, job, payroll and employee benefit data.  The skills and abilities needed to implement and manage these systems require advanced skills in PeopleSoft, SQL, and Oracle.  This individual must be a self starter, work well in a team environment, and be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Experience with developing and supporting PeopleSoft Human Capital Management (HCM) version 8.9 or newer, preferably version 9.1.
  • Ability to develop and implement various aspects of PeopleSoft HCM including Human Resources, Position Management, and Payroll.
  • Must have experience with People Code, People Tools, Application Designer, and SQR programming.
  • Preferred experience with Application Engine, Process Scheduler, Component Interface, Change Assistant, Security Administration, Benefit Administration, Time and Labor.
  • Experience working directly with functional users.
  • Knowledge or experience working with database management systems, preferably Oracle 11g.
  • Skilled at working effectively with stakeholders to meet departmental and enterprise objectives.
  • Ability to provide comprehensive training and mentoring to functional teams and end users.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and promote a secure operating environment for mission-critical business systems.
  • Ability to monitor current trends and new technologies and make recommendations for enhancements and alternatives to existing systems and processes.

QUALIFICATIONS: Each applicant must have (3) three years of paid professional experience working with PeopleSoft HCM solutions plus a Bachelor degree from an accredited university or college, with a major in computer science, information technology, computer programming, or a related field. OR Each applicant must have (5) five years of paid professional experience working with PeopleSoft HCM solutions plus an Associate degree from an accredited university or college, with a major in computer science, information technology, computer programming, or a related field. All required experience must have occurred within the last (5) five years. You are required to show your valid driver's license or state id card to the Human Resources Department staff NO LATER THAN THE DEADLINE DATE FOR FILING APPLICATIONS.  Must be a resident of the State of Ohio at the time of appointment.

A criminal background investigation will be conducted for this position (according to Civil Service Commission Rule 15 – Sensitive Classifications/Positions and the Critical Infrastructure Protection Act of 2001 and the Patriot Act). The purpose is to detect security risks and prevent security threats posed by potential employees.
