Salary:  $87,532 - $118,168 annually

The City of Cincinnati Health Department is seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to fill an Assistant Health Commissioner position under the direction of the City of Cincinnati Commissioner of Health. The successful candidate will have an established reputation, strong administrative and health Finance background, in a field relevant to preventive and primary health care services delivery.  The candidate will have proven leadership skills at the executive level.  Expertise policy and background in Medicaid and Medicare, Managed Care, Health Information Systems and Contract Administration in Public Health, or Human Services is preferred.

The successful candidate will head the Clinical Services and Population Health Division and serve as the Chief Executive Officer of the FQHC Look-Alike Designation.  The position is responsible for planning, organizing and overseeing the administration of programs and activities within Clinical Services and Population Health Division. These duties include the development of goals and objectives for the division program areas, budget development and oversight of grant applications as well as other related duties.

QUALIFICATIONS:  Applicant must have five years of program director level experience in administering programs and budget issues in a public health organization or similar health or government agency. A Bachelor’s Degree in health care administration, business administration, public administration and/or public health is required.  A graduate degree in health care administration, business administration or a related field is preferred.  May be required to work at other than usual hours.  Must have a valid Driver’s License.  All required experience must have occurred within the last (5) five years. You are required to show your valid driver's license to the Human Resources Department staff NO LATER THAN THE DEADLINE DATE FOR FILING APPLICATIONS. Must be a  resident of the State of Ohio at the time of appointment, further residency requirements may apply. Please inquire further at the time of application.
