Salary:  $53,522 - $71,929 annually

The Metropolitan Sewer District of Greater Cincinnati (MSDGC) is seeking to fill a Senior Computer Programmer Analyst (SCPA) position.  This employee is responsible for performing advanced desktop support, setting up new desktop PCs and laptops, troubleshooting connectivity problems, mapping network drives and printers, installing software, creating and maintaining images, and performing research as needed.  In addition, this employee will be responsible for providing second tier support to MSDGC’s Help Desk as needed.  The SCPA will need advanced or expert knowledge of Microsoft XP operating system, Active Directory Administration tools, Microsoft Office, Outlook, Oracle Client, Symantec Ghost, TCP/IP, and SNMP (ping, trace) to accomplish their work.  Eligible candidates must demonstrate exceptional customer service aptitude and advanced problem solving skills, the ability to communicate and document effectively, be adept at multi-tasking, and work well in a team environment

QUALIFICATIONS:  Qualified applicants must meet all criteria in one of the two following categories

Completion of an Associates Degree from an accredited college or university preferably with a major in computer science, information technology, computer programming, or other computer-related program AND one year of professional, paid work experience in the Information Technology field, OR Completed 45-quarter credit hours from an accredited college or university with 30 of the 45 credit hours being in computer science, information technology and/or computer programming AND two years of professional, paid work experience in the Information Technology field.    A certification program, such as a Novell or Windows NT engineer may substitute for one year paid work experience in the Information Technology field (completion of other certification programs not listed will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis). Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid Ohio driver's license is required for some positions.  May be required to work irregular hours and be on-call.  All required experience must have occurred within the last (5) five years.  You are required to show your valid driver's license to the Human Resources Department staff NO LATER THAN THE FINAL DEADLINE DATE FOR FILING APPLICATIONS.  Must be a Hamilton County resident at the time of appointment.
