The City of Cincinnati’s Health Department is seeking to fill a Nursing Director position. This employee will be responsible for the development, implementation, direction, control and evaluation of community-based and health center-based Public Health Nursing Services. Directs, manages, supervises and coordinates programs and activities of the nursing services division within the Health Department; coordinates assigned activities with other divisions, outside agencies and the general public; and provides highly responsible and complex staff assistance to the Assistant Health Commissioner, administrators and services that require nursing skills and expertise in the Cincinnati Health Department.

QUALIFICATIONS: Each applicant must have seven years experience as an administrator, including direct supervision of nursing personnel, planning, organizing, directing and evaluating a nursing service program. A Master’s Degree in Nursing, Public Health Administration or Public Administration may be substituted for two years of the required experience. Must have possession of a valid license as a registered nurse in the State of Ohio. Must have possession of a valid driver’s license. Must have possession of, or ability to obtain, a licensure as a registered Nurse from the Ohio Board of Nursing. All required experience must have occurred within the last (5) five years. You are required to show your valid driver's license to the Human Resources Department staff
