The Cincinnati Health Department is seeking an experienced, motivated, registered pharmacist to provide pharmacy care to patients in one of our ambulatory health care clinics. The successful candidate should have excellent counseling and communication skills and enjoy working with clinic patients and other health care professionals, including nurses, physicians, dentists and clerical staff. Duties include filling and dispensing prescriptions, patient counseling, inventory management and technician supervision. This position requires excellent clinical skills; the ability to organize and prioritize workload; be able to work autonomously and make decisions independently.

QUALIFICATIONS: Two years responsible experience as a professional pharmacist. Equivalent to a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in pharmacology. Applicant must possess a valid Ohio Pharmacist License or be eligible to reciprocate in the State of Ohio as a pharmacist. Applicant may be required to sign the Federal DEA and State Terminal Distribution License for a clinic pharmacy. This is a sensitive position as defined by Civil Service Commission Rule V, Section 7C and requires a satisfactory police check before employment. Applicants must show a valid Ohio Pharmacist license. Must possess valid driver’s license. All required experience must have occurred within the last (5) five years. You are required to show your valid driver's license to the Human Resources Department staff
