District Four Fire Chief Tom Lakamp reported on a one-alarm structure fire that occurred at 3403 Cardiff Avenue in the Oakley. Upon arrival firefighters discovered a fire in a two car detached wood frame garage. Firefighters made a rapid fire attack and quickly brought the fire under control within five minutes. There were no firefighter or civilian injuries.

Twenty-seven firefighters responded to this fire. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Cincinnati Fire Department Fire Investigation Unit. The building sustained $12,000 damage.
