One Alarm Structure Fire 4248 President Drive

Acting District Three Fire Chief Steve Breitfelder reporting on a one-alarm structure fire that occurred at 4248 President Drive in the Fay Apartments. Upon arrival firefighters found fire showing through the roof of a second floor apartment.

Firefighters made an interior fire attack and quickly brought the fire under control within fifteen minutes. However the fire did spread to the adjacent apartment via a common attic. Extensive overhaul needed to be done to ensure the fire did not spread to the other apartments. No one was home in the apartment of origin at the time of the fire. The fire displaced three families. There were no firefighter or civilian injuries.

Twenty-eight firefighters responded to this fire. The cause of the fire is undetermined and currently under investigation. The building sustained $100,000 damage. For additional information contact Acting District Chief Steve Breitfelder at (513) 352-2333.
