One Alarm Structure 2139 Colerain Avenue

 

Fire Captain Michael A. Washington reported on a one-alarm structure fire which occurred today in the West End. At 4:01 PM the Cincinnati Fire Communication Center received a telephone alarm reporting a structure fire at 2139 Colerain Avenue.

Initial arriving fire units confirmed a “working fire” in a three-story brick vacant multi-dwelling. An aggressive interior fire attack was conducted as well as primary/secondary searches of the building. The searches proved negative, no persons found. The fire was quickly extinguished.

There were no injuries reported to civilians or firefighters. Damage is estimated at $7,000.00 dollars. The Cincinnati Fire Investigation Unit is investigating this incident. The origin and cause has yet to be determined.
