One Alarm Structure Fire 800 Bank Street (Old Club Chef Property)

 

This is District-Two Fire Chief Ron Davis with the Cincinnati Fire Department reporting on a one alarm structure fire which occurred in the West End. At 5:58 PM the Cincinnati Fire Communication Center received a telephone from a construction crew reporting a structure fire at the old “Club Chef” property.

Fire units arrived on the scene discovering a small fire in pipe insulation in the ceiling area of a two-story commercial property. The fire was extinguished and the building ventilated. The origin and cause is listed as a short circuit in a ceiling light fixture. Damage is estimated at $ 5000.00 dollars. There no activation of a smoke detection system. No injuries were reported, Thirty-two firefighters were utilized at this incident.
