District Four Fire Chief Tom Lakamp reported on a one-alarm structure fire that occurred at 1524 Ruth Av. in Evanston. Upon arrival firefighters found light smoke venting from the second floor windows of a two-story wood frame home. Firefighters made an interior fire attack and quickly brought the fire under control within ten minutes. The house was under renovation with no permanent residents.
Twenty-seven firefighters responded to this fire. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by the Cincinnati Fire Department - Fire Investigation Unit. The structure sustained $2000 damage.
