District-Three Fire Chief David Collini reported on a one-alarm structure fire which occurred early this morning in the West End. At 02:20 hours the Cincinnati Fire Communication Center received a telephone call reporting a structure fire in a vacant building at Baymiller and Findlay Streets.
Initial arriving fire units discovered heavy fire showing from the first floor of a three-story brick building. An aggressive interior fire attack would control this fire within thirty minutes. The Cincinnati Fire Investigation Unit was utilized at this incident. This fire is currently listed as “Undetermined”. There were no operating smoke alarms within the structure. There were no civilian or fire fighters injured at this incident. Damage is estimated at $10,000.00 dollars. Twenty-four firefighters were utilized at this incident.
