The Department’s Safe Summer Nights Program has been instrumental in helping the Department to warn the public on the dangers of fire and the value of life-saving. The Safe Summer Nights Program has allowed the Cincinnati Fire Companies to instal over 2,000 smoke alarms in apartment buildings and homes.

In addition, over 200 Carbon Monoxide Alarms were also distributed. The Cincinnati Area Chapter of the American Red Cross donated all smoke alarms and carbon monoxide alarms. For more information about the Safe Summer Nights Program, contact the Fire Prevention Bureau at (513) 352-2361.
