The Southwestern Ohio Tax Administrators Association (SWOTAA) was formed for the purpose of promoting understanding, cooperation, and uniformity of operation among the varous taxing administrations.

The Southwestern Ohio Tax Administrators Association was organized in 1961 by municipalities in the southwest Ohio region. Currently seventy-four cities and villages constitute the enrollment membership. Meetings are held quarterly. SWOTAA is well represented at the monthly meetings of the Ohio Municipal League and is active in various teaching workshops.
