The Environmental Compliance Section of Risk Management promotes and encourages actions to identify contaminated City property and implements clean-up projects.
Evaluates property for potential environmental liabilities prior to acquisition.
Develops site-specific plans for activities to investigate and clean-up contaminated City property.
Provides technical assistance to all City departments, with particular emphasis on environmental protection, economic development and the industrial re-development needs of the City.
Coordinates environmental activities with local community representatives.
Serves as liaison for the City with federal, state, and local regulatory agencies for environmental issues on property.
Evaluates environmental condition of fill material.
