Environmental Compliance


The Environmental Compliance Section of Risk Management promotes and encourages actions to identify contaminated City property and implements clean-up projects.

  • Evaluates property for potential environmental liabilities prior to acquisition.
  • Develops site-specific plans for activities to investigate and clean-up contaminated City property.
  • Provides technical assistance to all City departments, with particular emphasis on environmental protection, economic development and the industrial re-development needs of the City.
  • Coordinates environmental activities with local community representatives.
  • Serves as liaison for the City with federal, state, and local regulatory agencies for environmental issues on property.
  • Evaluates environmental condition of fill material.
