1. Where do I go to get a downtown street vendor's license?

2. How much does a downtown street vendor's license cost?

$400 per year.

3. How do I get a Peddler's License?

Outside the downtown business district: Treasury Department, Room 202, in City Hall. You want to bring with you:

- $150.00 (yearly fee)

- 2 photographs (passport pictures)

- 1 picture ID (license/state)

You must fill out a one-page application. The badge is made while you wait.

4. Where do you get a Liquor License?

Contact the State of Ohio at 942-0489.

5. Where do you get a film permit to do movies in the Cincinnati area?

Contact the Cincinnati Film Commission at 784-1744.

6. How do you get a permits for: street solicitation, non-profit business, and playing instruments on streets?

Contact the Safety Department at 352-3216.

8. How do you get a permit for Fountain Square?

Contact 3CDC at www.myfountainsquare.com/booking or by phone at (513) 621-4400.

9. I am planning to open a business. Where do I get a vendor's license?

For small business at home, boat license, cigarette license, and anything with the exception of a downtown street vending license, you can go to the Hamilton County Auditor's Office at 138 E. Court Street, 5 th Floor. The phone number is (513) 946-4106. You can also obtain sales tax and vending machine information there.

10. Do you offer grants to individual businesses?

We don't offer grants to individual businesses. We do, however, offer several loan programs.

12. Does the City of Cincinnati offer a microloan?

Yes. It is administered by the Cincinnati Business Incubator. They can be contacted at (513) 362-2700, 1634 Central Parkway, Cincinnati, OH 45202.

13. Do you work with non-profit organizations? Can a non-profit organization get a loan?

We work with non-profit organizations. It is possible for non-profit to qualify for a loan, provided they are creating jobs in the City of Cincinnati.

14. I am planning to start a business. Where can I get help in writing a business plan?

There are several agencies that assist start-up businesses including the Small Business Development Center at the University of Cincinnati and the Cincinnati Business Incubator. The Small Business Development Center can be contacted at (513) 566-2072, Hillcrest Tower, 7162 Reading Road, Suite 725, Cincinnati, OH 45237. The Cincinnati Business Incubator can be contacted at (513) 362-2700, 1634 Central Parkway, Cincinnati, OH 45202.

15. Do you have any special financing programs just for minorities and women?

All of our financing programs are available to qualifying businesses including those owned by minorities and women.

16. How do I get money to start a business?

In addition to the City loan programs available through the Department of Community Development and Planning at 352-6146 and your financial institution, small loans, are available through the Cincinnati Business Incubator at 362-2700.
