Brownfield Job Training Program
Cincinnati has openings in its free eight-week job training class in Brownfield workforce development that begins March 24, 2008. This is the second of four training sessions offered 2007-2009.
The program is funded by the
U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. Among the topics open to Hamilton County residents are: 32-hour Career Development, 40-hour OSHA Hazardous Waste Site Worker, 32-hour Lead Abatement Worker, 40-hour Asbestos Abatement Supervisor, 30-hour OSHA Construction, 16-hour Confined Space Entry, 8-hour Tool Box Safety, 24-hour Brownfield Awareness, 32-hour Brownfield Advanced Training Technology, 32-hour Mold Remediation.
Applicants must be 18 years of age, able to lift 40 lbs, pass a drug test, have a GED or high school diploma and a valid drivers license. Applicants must submit a written request to enter the program, provide three letters of recommendation and a police check. Applications are available at Super Job Centers:
