Brownfield Job Training Program

 

The Brownfield Job Training Program was a free eight-week job training course funded by the  U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. Among the topics open to Hamilton County residents were:  40-hour Career Development, 40-hour OSHA Hazardous Waste Site Worker,  32-hour Lead Abatement Worker (Ohio license obtained), 40-hour Asbestos Abatement Supervisor (Ohio license obtained),  30-hour OSHA Construction Outreach,  16-hour OSHA Confined Space Entry,  24-hour Brownfield Awareness, 32-hour Brownfield Advanced Training Technology,  32-hour Mold Remediation, 4-hour Health and Safety as well as computer skills training. 

The training sessions are not currently being offered.  To have been accepted into the program applicants must have been 18 years of age, able to lift 40 lbs, pass a drug test, have a GED or high school diploma and a valid drivers license.  Applicants must have submitted a written request to enter the program, provided three letters of recommendation and a undergone a police check.
