1. What grant funds are available for me to renovate my house?

The City of Cincinnati does not provide grants to individual homeowners for renovation. Please contact Hamilton County for information on their Home Improvement Program, which provides low-interest loans to property owners for renovation and repair.

2.  I am looking to purchase a home, what assistance is available?

Homebuyer Counseling is a very useful tool for first time homebuyers. The City provides funding to the Home Owernship Center of Greater Cincinnati and WIN to provide homebuyer and homeowner counseling to prepare you for purchasing as well as physically and financially maintaining your home. The Home Ownership Center also provides a downpayment assistant to first time homebuyers who complete homebuyer training courses. The  American Dream Downpayment Initiative (ADDI) program provides downpayment assistance for low-income homebuyers.

3.  What assistance to developers does the Housing Division offer?

The Department offers two programs that provide gap financing to developments: The Rental Rehabilitation Program and the NOFA.
