The City of Cincinnati Rental Rehab Program is a forgivable deferred loan program designed to increase the availability of affordable, quality rental housing for low income families within the City limits. Rental rehab loan funds can only be used to finance repair and renovation work. Acquisition and soft costs, such as architectural plans, drawings, and financing costs
are not eligible. The use of the property after rehabilitation must be for multifamily rental dwellings of
ten (
10) or more units.
The Rental Rehab Program provides up to 50% of the total rehab cost or up to the per unit maximums, whichever is less, as a forgivable deferred loan. The per unit maximums are: $5,000 for a one-bedroom unit, $8,000, for a two-bedroom, and $13,000 for each three or greater bedroom units.
