2008 Notice of Funding Availability

 

The Housing Division of the Department of Community Development has changed its funding procedures for homeownership projects.   Instead of accepting applications year round, the Division plans to accept applications twice per year in a competitive Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) process.  

 

The City of Cincinnati will accept applications on Friday May 30th for the 2008 NOFA Process.  This NOFA process will award available funds to projects that promote homeownership and mixed-use projects with a homeownership component. The NOFA will also fund elderly, transitional and permanent supportive housing projects that are not eligible for the Rental Rehabilitation Program.The Department will hold a Pre-Submission Meeting for developers on April 16 th and applications are due May 30, 2008.

 

Funds allocated for the Spring 2008 NOFA are as follows:

     - Community Development Block Grant- $1,000,000

     - HOME Investment Partnership Program- $1,000,000

     - City Capital- $500,000

 

Priority will be given to homeownership projects located in the Neighborhood Enhancement Prorgram Areas for 2007 and 2008 that rehabilitate vacant buildings or produce infill units. Selection will be based on the criteria listed within the NOFA Guidelines and Application.
