Know What To Submit For A Building Permit?
Adequate plans and specifications are needed to be submitted. Description of the work, use group, construction type, details and other information are needed to show that the plans explain what and how.

Appeal To The Board Of Building Appeals?
The customer needs to download a Board of Building Appeals Application, or request a faxed copy or a mailed copy sent to you, or stop by the Building Development and Permit Center at 3300 Central Parkway and pick up a form.
Complete the Board of Buildings Appeals Application form and be sure to have it notarized.
Provide a copy of the written ruling or written order that you are appealing.
A non-refundable filing fee in the sum of fifty dollars ($50) for appeals relative to Chapter 1117 CBC or one hundred fifty dollars ($150) for all others shall be submitted. (Make checks payable to the City of Cincinnati.)
A written supporting statement outlining the proposed alternative arrangement or argument to be offered for the Board’s consideration must accompany Items 2, 3, and 4.
An appeal based in whole or in part on hardship requires that an estimate or bid in detail, estimating the cost of compliance, a statement of income and alternative safety proposals to ensure an equivalent degree of safety, must be submitted.
The Board of Building Appeals holds its hearings every first Thursday of the month at 1:30 p.m.
at the Business Development and Permit Center, 3300 Central Parkway in the First Floor Conference Room. Your application and all required information must be submitted 10 working days before the appeal hearings if your appeal is to appear on the next month's agenda.
You will be notified in writing of the time, date and location as soon as your application is accepted.
The decisions are made in open session usually immediately after the hearing. The written decision will be sent to the owner of the premises, the appellant, and the city agencies involved within thirty days of the hearing in question.
The Board of Building Appeals has full authority to affirm, modify, reverse or set aside the ruling or order appealed from, and its decision shall be final.
