City Planning Commission

The City Planning Commission usually meets the first and third Friday of each month at 9:00 a.m. in the J. Martin Griesel Conference Room, Centennial Plaza Two, 805 Central Avenue, Seventh Floor, Cincinnati, Ohio 45202.

Board Of Building Appeals

The board is available to those seeking relief from the interpretations of the Building Plans Examination Section. The Building Plans Examiners are available to help customer with their needs in order for the customer to understand the Board of Building Appeals Process.

Historic Conservation Board

The Historic Conservation Board, established by ordinance in 1980, consists of nine members who are appointed by the City Manager. The Board must include at least one professional historic preservationist, one historian, one architect, one urban designer or planner, one attorney and one person engage in the real estate or development business. At least two members must be registered architects, and at least three members must be community representatives.

Zoning Board Of Appeals

The Zoning Board of Appeals (ZBA) has the duty to hear all appeals arising out of the Cincinnati Zoning Code. ZBA is an administrative method to appeal the decision from the Zoning Hearing Examiner, decisions of the Historic Conservation Board, decisions of the City Planning Commission, issuance of a permit or Certificate of Compliance and zoning violation orders. 

Any person or entity affected by the aforementioned items has 30 days from the date of these actions to file an appeal.
