Bicycle Master Plan

The City of Cincinnati is in the process of creating a new comprehensive Bicycle Master Plan. The bike plan will provide the long-term vision for the development of a citywide bicycle network designed to allow average Cincinnatians to feel as safe and comfortable riding bicycles for their daily needs as they do today in their cars.

The network will also be complemented by educational, encouragement, and enforcement programs that will foster a cultural awareness of bicycling as a viable means of transportation in Cincinnati.

Please visit this page periodically to learn about upcoming public events, to stay up-to-date on the planning process, to view drafts of the plan and to share your ideas!

Public Open House - October 8
The first public open house will be held on Thursday, October 8 from 7pm to 9pm at the McKee Recreation Center in Northside (1655 Chase Avenue). The purpose of the open house will be to collect feedback on existing conditions, strategic network improvements, and potential new policies and programs. 2. 11:00am - Hoffner Park to the Kenard Ave Krogers

4. 1:00pm - Hoffner Park to Burnet Woods

5. 1:15pm - Burnet Woods (meet at the fountain) to Clifton Ave and MLK

Staff from the project team will be compiling feedback at stops along the route. Feel free to participate in any or all legs of the ride! For more information, e-mail melissa.mcvay@cincinnati-oh.gov.

Online Survey - NOW!
We need your input! Please click here to participate in the Bike Plan survey. The survey will help us to collect information about where, how often, and why you ride, as well as what the City can do to get more people on bikes. The survey also includes a "report card" section that asks you to grade how we are doing on several different aspects of creating and maintaining a healthy bicycling environment.

Interactive Map - NOW!
In addition to the survey, we are providing an interactive map to gather comments from the public about bicycling conditions. We are looking for information about streets and routes that you use, routes you believe are bicycle-friendly, or un-friendly, and areas where you think improvements are needed. Click here to view the interactive map. You will need to login in order to add to the map; please use the login: bikecincy, and password bikecincy (case sensitive).

Reports and Deliverables

Key reports, maps, and draft recommendations will be made available as completed.
